Following the April 2011 tornadoes, Habitat Birmingham extended its service area to include St. Clair County to help with disaster recovery. In partnership with the Central Alabama Long-Term Recovery Committee, we are currently rebuilding several homes in the Ashville area. Helping hands are desperately needed!
Groups interested in volunteering, or seeking additional information, may call Habitat at 780-1234 or email Julie Howard at jhoward@habitatbirmingham.org to schedule their day.
Volunteers are needed Tuesday-Saturday from 8am – 4pm. Habitat will have a site supervisor in Ashville to lead scheduled volunteers. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome; the minimum age for volunteering is 14. Up to 25 volunteers can participate at each location.
